Noelene
Johnsson is an experienced speaker, writer, and elementary
teacher. However, she considers being a mother and grandmother her
most important and satisfying roles. Born in Australia, she has served
in Australia, India, and the United States. She is married to William
Johnsson, editor of the Adventist Review. Before coming to
the North American Division she served in the General Conference Sabbath
School Department as editor of Mission and Children's
Mission. Noelene has been involved with others in emphasizing
grace and uplifting Jesus in children's Bible lessons. She has helped
shift the emphasis at church toward active involvement of the learner
and away from teaching in lecture mode. She believes that children's
ministries should be grace-filled, inclusive, and cooperative.

Pastor
Willie Oliver is Elaine's husband and Jessica and Julian's
dad. For more than 20 years, he has served as youth pastor, senior
pastor, Conference and Union Conference director of Youth and Family
Ministries, Director of Pathfinder Ministries and Camp Ministries
for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America and currently
is Director of Family Ministries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church
in North America. Willie and his wife, Elaine, are the directors
of “From This Day Forward” marriage conferences, as
well as authors of the relationship column for Message Magazine
and a national radio program by the same name. Elder Oliver lives
with his family in Laurel, MD, and believes that strong and healthy
families mean strong centers for discipleship, a strong commitment
to stewardship, and a strong witness to share with the community.
